Our Story
Built on a Standard No One Asked For
MINK started the way most honest things do — one person, tired of settling, who decided to make something worth keeping.
The Beginning
Nothing on the Shelf Was Ours
Paul spent years in tech — structured, fast-moving, detail-driven work. He brought the same standards to everything in his life, including the products he reached for every morning. Nothing felt like it belonged to him.
Not the $40 bottles with loud branding and nothing behind it. Not the legacy names running on reputation alone. Every shelf, every store — products made for everyone, which meant they were made for no one. Nothing that reflected how he moved through his own space. Nothing worth building a ritual around.
So he stopped looking and started making. Small batches. Kitchen counter. A product built to meet his own standard, in his own space, on his own terms. Something he was proud to reach for — not just something he used. That was the whole point. Not just a better product on the shelf. A ritual that is yours.
We didn't set out to compete with what's already on the shelf. We set out to make what should have been there all along — for people who already knew the difference.
What We Believe
The House Code
Calm
Luxury that quiets the noise — never adds to it.
Authenticity
Rooted in place, built by hand, honest in every material.
Refinement
Restraint over excess. Precision in every detail.
Confidence
Quiet authority — no aggression, no overstatement.
Heritage
Made Where We Grew Up
Olympia, Washington — where the southern reach of the Puget Sound meets evergreen forest. Paul grew up here. MINK was founded here. Every batch is still hand-blended here. The water is drawn here. The Heritage fragrance was composed here. This is home.
The ingredients themselves come from wherever quality leads — Bergamot for coastal brightness, Douglas Fir and Hinoki for evergreen calm, Benzoin, Peru Balsam, and Vanilla CO₂ for warm resin depth. The fragrance wasn't designed to follow a trend — it was composed to anchor an identity.
A name is earned. We're building one worth passing down.
